Transcript-STU Women’s Hockey Gears Up For Playoffs
Dominique Bernier scored the lone goal for the Tommies as they fall 3-1 to the Aigles Bleues here at the Lady Beaverbrook Rink.
The Tommies finish the season in fourth place overall in the conference with 26 points.
The story of the season was really a tale of two teams, as at home the Tommies paced themselves with 8 wins, while on the road they struggled, with 4 wins and 8 losses.
Also, in the second half, injuries took their toll as in most games they had at least three regulars out.
The AUS women’s hockey Championship begins on Thursday in Moncton.
The top six teams in the AUS conference will qualify, and STU is the fourth seed.
The winner of the tournament will go on to the CIS women’s hockey championship in Antigonish from March 11th to the 14th.
For STU Basement Tapes, I’m Mike Sanderson.
